I debated about whether this film was worth my time. It was very well made. The visual effects are stunning (although many of the zombies are clearly CGI), and the intensity of the movie picks up in the beginning and doesn't let you go until the end. Having read the book, I was relieved to see that they took some of the graphic violence and toned it down to an appropriate PG 13 level. That being said however, there were many holes in the plot and changes to it that just couldn't be compensated for by having read the book. Interesting and intense enough for one watch if you are a zombie fanatic, but otherwise, you shouldn't feel bad about missing it. Even with violence being toned down, it is still violent and intense, with some graphic gore particularly in one scene.
